Admission Criteria for the Hickok Center for Brain Injury

To be eligible to become a member an individual must meet the following admission criteria:

• Must have a diagnosis of acquired or traumatic brain injury
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be independent in toileting needs
• Must be independent in eating
• Must be able to self-manage medications
• Must be medically stable and not require the presence of on-site medical personnel
• Must not present a threat to the safety of self or others
• Must be drug/alcohol free
• Must make the personal choice to be a member
