Who we are
Assisting the Rochester area since 1989, the Hickok Center is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment that empowers individuals with brain injuries and other neurological challenges to design and direct their own lives.
Our Structured Day and Evening Program serves adults aged 18 and older, offering a wide range of activities, community outings, and therapies tailored to each individual's goals. These services include speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, nutrition education, and art therapy which are all focused on fostering independence, confidence, and connection.
We proudly serve individuals across Monroe, Livingston, Ontario, Wayne, Seneca, and Yates Counties, welcoming participants from a broad region of the Finger Lakes and Greater Rochester area.
The Hickok Center collaborates with several educational and community institutions to enrich our programming and expand opportunities for those we serve. Our partners include:
Nazareth University
SUNY Brockport
Hochstein School of Music & Dance
University of Rochester
D’Youville University
SUNY Geneseo
Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)
Monroe Community College (MCC)
Keuka College
Through these affiliations, we provide additional resources, internship opportunities, and therapeutic programming that reinforce our commitment to person-centered care.
